Self Care Products for Mothers

Skincare

I have been off antiperspirant for at least 15 years, so I’m practically an expert on deodorants. It is likely I have tried every deodorant product on the market and while some are remarkably better than others, the real key is in the reapplication. Hatch’s Fresh Mama deodorant has a super light scent and it keeps my underarms smelling fresh throughout my workouts and general chaotic life.

I have been using this Drunk Elephant mask for years. I use it every season of the year as my last skincare step before bed. From the dry Las Vegas desert to a humid NYC summer, this is my holy grail product. Prenatal and postnatal safe!

New Workout Wear

I had the awesome chance to with HATCH MATERNITY x FP MOVEMENT on their new collection and it is COZY! Think lots of soft and comfortable fabrics, perfect for workout or lounge, pre-baby or post! I don’t know about you, but tight and constricting workout wear is beyond aggravating. Working out is much more likely to happen when you feel comfortable. I have been reaching for these pieces more often because they let me move with ease, and they are so easy to get on/off.

Try this crop and these leggings!

Cooking

Ooooh, I really like this one. I also have another Once Upon A Chef cookbook that is also family friendly, but I love how this newer one is geared towards quicker weeknight meals that are still healthy and delicious. Last night, I made the pork sliders and even the baby was eating the cabbage slaw!

Aperol Spritz

I tend to like a champagne heavy spritz, and at times I have been known to even sub in a regular white wine. What I love is the light and refreshing kick, meant to be enjoyed while sitting in my backyard unwinding with a book, but it usually accompanies my typical 5pm dinner prep.

  • 3 parts prosecco/sparkling wine/white wine

  • 1.5 parts Aperol

  • 1 part club soda

  • garnish: orange wedge
